Available Units

The 249 A Street Artists Cooperative is home to more than 43 visual artists and their families. 

The cooperative was founded in 1983 to provide secure and permanent live/work space for visual artists in Fort Point; it was Massachusetts’ first limited equity artists cooperative.

There are currently three units available:

Interested candidates must be working visual artists.

The cooperative does not use Boston’s Artists Certification for screening; our own screening predates this and includes an online application, portfolio review, an interview, and a financial screening.

Our building does not include any rental units; all units are artist-owned.
