Available Units

The 249 A Street Artists Cooperative is home to more than 43 visual artists and their families. 

The cooperative was founded in 1983 to provide secure and permanent live/work space for visual artists in Fort Point; it was Massachusetts’ first limited equity artists cooperative.

Currently Studio #66 is available for purchase. You can see more information on that studio here and here.

Interested candidates must be working visual artists.

The cooperative does not use Boston’s Artists Certification for screening; our own screening predates this, and includes an online application, portfolio review, an interview, and a financial screening.
